There is no denying it, I have a crazy sweet tooth. After dinner every night I go hunting in my fridge and pantry for something sweet to munch on. Honestly, it’s something I look forward to every day!
During quarantine, there are no after-dinner trips to the store for snacks, or to the ice cream stand for a few scoops (black raspberry ice cream is my faaavorite). I’ve had to get creative with what we have in the house, and this mug cake is seriously so good! Yummy, sweet, vanilla cake with rainbow sprinkles? Yes please.
Everything you need is probably already in your pantry!
1/4 cup + 1tsp all purpose flour
2 1/2 tbsp sugar (I like it sweet!)
1/4 tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
3 tbsp milk
2 tbsp melted butter
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tbsp rainbow sprinkles (or more or less. It’s your mug cake. Go crazy!)
1. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in your mug, mix well.
2. Add milk, melted butter, vanilla, and sprinkles. Mix well and make sure to scrape around the mug and on the bottom to get all those dry ingredients incorporated!
3. Microwave for 80-90 seconds, let cool for 1-2 minutes.
4. Dig in!
